Our Mission & Vision

All the spiritually hungry people of our world to be invited

and welcomed to the expanding table of God’s love

present at Grace Church.

Forming Christian disciples is our primary task,

while building an inclusive faith community

in order to carry the message and ministry of Jesus

to our community and to the world.

Leadership Team:

Our ministry team is everyone in the congregation as we all try to use our spiritual gifts for the building up of the Body of Christ and serving the world around us.  Our leaders agree to grow in their own faith as they help others fulfill the call of Christ in their lives and for our church.

 Krost

Pastor Todd Krost, Christina, Madeline, Ava and Harper
Baptized, raised, and educated in the Wesleyan tradition, Todd Krost is a United Methodist pastor seeking to soften hearts, challenge minds, and stir spirits to experience and share the love and power of God our Creator, Jesus the Christ, and the Holy Spirit.
With a progressive approach to knowing God’s love, Pastor Todd is passionate about showing how the Kingdom of God is among us and the everlasting life is within reach to all of God’s children.  Todd grew up in a UM household in Chillicothe nestled in the Illinois River valley cutting through the Central Illinois prairie.  He graduated from Albion College in Michigan with a degree in political science to pursue a career in public service
in Illinois government and politics.  After college, he worked for the Illinois state legislature but he and his wife, Christina, moved to Michigan to raise a family.   Eventually, economic realities of the Great Recession initiated a spiritual chain-of-events that revealed God’s call to ministry for Todd at the Sunday morning worship service before Christmas 2009 at Warren (MI) First UMC.  Pastor Todd considers himself a “Prairie Pastor” who inspires his church members to see God’s love manifested through creation all around us.
He currently serves Neoga Grace and Etna UMCs in the Illinois Great Rivers Conference.  Prior to this, he was appointed to Tiskilwa Community Church and Sheffield UMC while at seminary.  He is a provisional elder and holds a Master of Divinity from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL.  The parsonage is home to his wife, Christina, daughters Madeline, Ava, and Harper with their dog, Oliver, keeping them company.
