Neoga STRONG for Kids

As any Neoga family is likely already aware, Neoga schools are closed from Monday, March 17, through Friday, March 21, as district leadership works to determine a path forward for the school year in the wake of the recent tornado that did significant damage to the Neoga Jr./Sr. High School and Neoga Elementary School buildings.

UPDATE: With additional school cancellations on Monday, March 24, and Tuesday, March 25, we will continue to offer this program on those days.

Understanding this unavoidable and unexpected week out of school has undoubtedly left a number of Neoga parents scrambling to figure out what will happen with their children while they are at work during the day, members of Neoga Grace UMC are hoping to lighten that mental burden on parents by offering Neoga STRONG for Kids each day this week from 7:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.

Kids in the kindergarten to fifth grade age range are invited to come to Grace for breakfast, lunch and a day of non-religious structured activities. This will ensure your kids are entertained and fed while you go about your weekly business as normally as you possibly can.

Participating children are free to be picked up and dropped of at any point throughout the day.

If you’re interested, we do need a completed and signed waiver form at the time you drop off your child. You can download and print a copy here; we’ll also have representative at the 6 p.m. emergency school board meeting if you’d like to get copies there or if you’d like to ask questions or volunteer your time and resources to making this program a success!
